First Results of Our Piano Teacher Poll

Well, the first results of our poll are in, and the results so far are surprising.

(You can take the poll and tell us your story at
    www.gnosisarts.com/nj-piano-music-teacher
In return for taking our survey, we will choose one piano studio to be featured on our blog.)

We asked piano teachers one question: What effect, if any, has the poor state of the economy had on your business.

Although we were sure that vast majority would say that it had a definire negative impact on their piano studio, this wasn't the case.

A majority of the respondents - 47% - said that the econmy had "neither a negative nor positive effect" on their piano teaching business. Even more surprising, a small percentage said the economy actually had a positive effect.

We have certainly felt the effects of the economy on our studio. Inquiries have dropped off substantially since last October. We've found ourselves having to reposition ourselves in our market, and team up with other studios to weather the financial storm.
