    Reminiscing

From age 11, I was a pretty precocious youngster when it came to the piano. I had a natural gifting on the piano, and was playing much more difficult pieces than my age should have allowed. I began competing in state piano competitons very early, and beat out studentd who had been playing since they were four or five.

I sometimes miss those days. Though God didn't lead me down the path I had originally chosen - that of a concert pianist - She has still been very good to me. I am thankful for still being able to pass on the gifts given to me by teaching piano to others.

Now that our piano studio has Gabriel Cano (www/nj-piano-music-teacher2) I find myself reminiscing on those days more often. Gabriel is as precocious and gifted on the piano - if not more - than I was. Just 19, he's already wn a pretigious NJPAC music scholarship, and is so talented that he can probably get into any top music school he chooses.

I am so thrilled to have him on our team.
